Missing ONGC man's family awaits miracle

Family members of Rajiv Kumar, who has been missing since the fire mishap at Oil and Natural Gas Corporation's BHN platform at Bombay High, are still praying for his safe return.

A senior ONGC [Get Quote] engineer from Patna, Rajiv had been working as an executive engineer in the production team at the BHN platform.

He is among the 11 people who remain untraced despite search operations for survivors coming to an end.

Despite no news about his whereabouts, his shocked family members back home have not lost hope. Rajiv's sister said her mother was being given sedatives while father was having hiccups. "They  are yet to get over the shock after hearing that Rajiv went missing in the mishap," she said.

Rajiv called them last on July 26 when he promised he would return to Patna by July 29 to carry out arrangements for the marriage of one of his sisters.

"We are only praying for his safe return, we have full faith in miracles," Rajiv's brother said.
