Lalu's car subjected to forensic tests

The car in which Railway Minister Lalu Prasad was travelling while it was attacked in Vadodara, Gujarat, on April 21 was on Tuesday subjected to tests at the Directorate of Forensic Sciences in Gandhinagar, police said Ahmedabad.
Lalu had been to Vadodara to visit a hospital where the injured passengers of the Sabarmati Express, which had rammed into a stationary goods train, were admitted.
The car was subjected to several physical tests and various aspects concerning the nature of the damage on its body and interiors would be investigated, the police said.
The car was hired for the visit of the Railway Minister to the accident site at Samlaya junction on the outskirts of Vadodara and then to the SSG hospital, police said.
According to Yadav, the white Chevrolet Optra was pelted with stones and petrol bombs. The car's rear windshield broke in the pelting.
The Gujarat government has set up a one-man inquiry commission headed by a retired judge of the high court to probe the attack.
The Vadodara police has registered a complaint.
