Annan to call on President, PM during visit

A heavy agenda awaits United Nations Secretary General Kofi Annan during his four-day visit to India starting April 26.

Besides calling on President A P J Abdul Kalam and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh [Images], Annan would hold also discussions with External Affairs Minister K Natwar Singh on April 27.

Annan's visit comes at a critical juncture with the Millennium Review Summit to be held in New York in September, the External Affairs Ministry said on Saturday.
