Geelani to lead delegation to meet Musharraf

A six-member delegation of the hardline faction of Hurriyat Conference led by Syed Ali Shah Geelani is scheduled to meet Pakistan President General Pervez Musharraf [Images] in New Delhi on Monday.

The decision to depute the delegation was taken at a meeting of the majlis-e-shoura (advisory board) of the amalgam, a spokesman of the hardline separatist group said.

The board has authorised Geelani, Agha Syed Hassan of Anjuman-e-Sharie Shian, Nayeem Ahmad Kkhan (National Front), Saidullah Tantray (Freedom Movement), Sheikh Ali Mohammad (Jamaat-e-Islami) and Ghulam [Images] Mohammad Khan Sopori (breakaway group of People's League) to represent the Hurriyat at the meeting, the spokesman said.
