Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi [Images] remained the star attraction at the special session of the Bharatiya Janata Party national executive meeting in New Delhi on Tuesday.

Media persons besieged Modi as he arrived at the Ambedkar stadium, renamed Deendayal Nagar, to attend the meeting. He, however, declined to talk to the media.

His critics from the state, including Keshubhai Patel and Kashiram Rana, were also present.

Gujarat party chief Rajendra Singh Rana merely said, "Things are improving."

Modi has been facing dissidence in the Gujarat BJP against his chief ministership. However, the party leadership has ruled out removing Modi.
