Law & order bad in UP: Sonia

Congress president Sonia Gandhi on Tuesday made veiled attack on the Mulayam Singh Yadav government on the question of law and order situation in Uttar Pradesh.

"From what I am hearing from the people and by reading newspaper reports it appears that the law and order situation is bad," Gandhi said in Sudauli Lok Sabha constituency.

Asked what she proposed to do in this regard, Gandhi said she would speak to the Centre as well as the state government.

About the problems in her Rae Bareli constituency, she said there was a need for development. People have complaints about water, electricity, roads and other things.

She said she would do everything possible for the development of the area.
