Shinde new Andhra governor

Maharashtra's caretaker Chief Minister Sushilkumar Shinde has been appointed governor of Andhra Pradesh, a Rashtrapati Bhavan communique said on Saturday.

| Shinde will replace Surjit Singh Barnala, who has been shifted from Andhra Pradesh to Tamil Nadu, the release said.
Barnala succeeds P S Ramamohan Rao, who resigned on Friday.
