Special task force chief K Vijaykumar said he had some ideas about the future role of the STF.

Replying to a question on the road ahead for the STF now that Veerappan was killed, Vijaykumar said he had given suggestions to the Tamil Nadu chief minister in this regard. However, Vijaykumar did not elaborate on the issue.

When asked about the Rs 5.5 cr reward announced for Veerappan's head, the official said the Tamil Nadu and Karnataka governments would decide on it.

However, he hoped the amount will be distributed among the members of the special task force.

Asked about his tonsured head, Vijaykumar said he was a religious man and had taken a vow to shave his head if Veerappan was nabbed.
