A court in Kancheepurm on Thursday reserved its order on a prosecution application seeking Kanchi Shankaracharya Jayendra Saraswathi's police custody in a murder case.

The Shankaracharya was brought in a convoy of cars from the Vellore prison at 1115 IST to the court of a first class judicial magistrate.

Three lawyers -- K S Dinakaran, M Sathyanarayanan and A Arun -- are representing the seer in the case.

In another development, the Madras high court also reserved its order on the bail application of the Shankaracharya in the same case.

Jayendra Saraswathi has been accused of masterminding the murder of a former aide.

The seer was arrested on November 11.
