Al-Mansoorian claims responsibility for attack

The Al-Mansoorian on Wednesday claimed responsibility for the 'suicide attack' on a cafeteria at Sulaman shopping complex in Dal Gate area of Srinagar, very close to where Prime Minister Manmohan Singh was scheduled to address a public meeting later in the day.

A caller identifying himself as the outfit's spokesman telephoned local news agencies to claim that their activists have stormed the cafeteria.

However, he did not say how many militants were involved in the attack.

The incident took place at around 8.15 am at a place less than 200 meters from the Sher-e-Kashmir cricket stadium, venue of rally.
