Jawan pumps 16 bullets into colleague

A Border Security Force jawan allegedly shot dead a colleague of his following an altercation over some minor issue.

Constable Jitender Kumar, posted at the battalion headquarters in Mamdot sector near the Indo-Pakistan border, pumped 16 bullets into Subhash Chander killing him on the spot, BSF sources said.

The duo belonged to the 2002 batch and had passed the training together.

A case has been registered at the Mamdot police station and an inquiry has been ordered into the incident. BSF officials said the exact reason behind the incident could be ascertained only after the interrogation of Jitender Kumar was completed.
