35 injured in train accident

At least 35 people were injured when a passenger train collided with a goods train in Nadia district of West Bengal on Saturday, Eastern Railway sources in Kolkata said.

The accident occurred at Birnagar station at 1120 IST when the goods train, disregarding the signal, entered the track on which 106 DN Lalgola passenger was running, the sources said.

Divisional railway manager, Sealdah, has rushed to the spot, they added.
