Historic verdict: Advani

Addressing his first press conference after the electoral debacle, Advani said the BJP will continue to play its part in realising the dream of turning India into a developed nation.

Advani admitted that the anti-incumbency factor operated against many of the party's sitting MPs.

Asked about a section of Gujarat BJP MLAs demanding the ouster of Chief Minister Narendra Modi, Advani said the party president is talking to them and the issue will be sorted out. "All aspects of the situation will be considered by the party," he said.
