CBI begins questioning Telgi

The Central Bureau of Investigation on Wednesday started questioning Abdul Karim Telgi, the prime accused in the fake stamp paper scam, at Central Prison on the outskirts of Bangalore, jail authorities said.

A three-member CBI team, which arrived on Tuesday, is grilling Telgi after securing permission from the special court trying the offences relating to the scam.

Telgi was sent back to the jail on Tuesday from a government hospital, where he was under observation following a bout of diarrhoea and vomiting.
