Congress Party chief Sonia Gandhi is holidaying in picturesque Kausani in Kumaon hills in Uttaranchal.

Gandhi, on a private visit, is staying with the family of Suman Dubey, a close friend of her late husband Rajiv Gandhi.

Though the district administration did not have any information about her visit, the chairperson of the United Progressive Alliance is likely to stay in the hill resort for a couple of days.

When asked about Gandhi's visit, District Magistrate Bageshwar said he was not aware of it. Kausani is Gandhi's favourite haunt. She goes there frequently.
