Based on the interrogation of Sarwan Paswan, arrested by the CBI on Sunday night in Patna, sleuths recovered the country-made .315 revolver and the briefcase, which was being carried by Dubey on November 27, 2003 when he was shot dead, agency spokesman said.

He said that the two things had been recovered from a well in Gaya district.

With the recovery of the murder weapon, the briefcase and the arrest of five people, the case has more or less been solved. Efforts are on to nab one more suspect in the case.
