Bride burgles house of in-laws, flees with lover June 12, 2004 23:52 IST In a rather bizarre incident, a newly-bride looted valuables from the house of her in-laws and fled with her lover, police in Gorakhpur said on Saturday. A railway guard had married off his son Ritesh to one Sarika from Siwan in Bihar. On the night of June 10, the newly-wed bride mixed some intoxicants with the food she served to her in-laws. While they were deep in sleep, she escaped with valuables and jewellery worth Rs 260,000 with her old lover.
