Voter ID cards found in dustbin near Chennai July 26, 2004 13:38 IST Last Updated: July 26, 2004 13:43 IST Over 480 voter identity cards issued by the Election Commission of India were found abandoned today in a dustbin in Kasturba Nagar at suburban Tambaram on the outskirts of Chennai. The police said some members of the public noticed the cards in a dustbin and immediately informed the police. The cards were then handed over to the Kanchipuram district collector's office.
