Four policemen killed in ambush in J&K

Four policemen were killed and another was seriously injured when militants ambushed a police party and resorted to indiscriminate firing at Beoli Koti in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday night, police sources said in Srinagar on Wednesday.

The policemen were attacked when they were returning from Beoli Koti after investigating a case around 8 pm., the sources said.

Four policemen died on the spot and the seriously injured cop was rushed to the Doda District Hospital, they said.

The security forces cordoned off the area after the incident and launched a search operation to track down the militants, the sources said.
