UP BJP president Vinay Katiyar resigns

Uttar Pradesh Bharatiya Janata Party president Vinay Katiyar on Sunday resigned from his post on the direction from the party high command.

Katiyar, who had assumed the reigns of the state unit about two years back, sent his resignation letter to the party's national president M Venkaiah Naidu.

Katiyar later told reporters in Lucknow that he had resigned on the instruction of the party high command as a 'disciplined soldier' of the party.
