Paswan ready for tie-up with Congress in Maharashtra July 05, 2004 16:44 IST Union Minister for Fertilisers and Chemicals Ramvilas Paswan has said his Lok Janashakti Party is prepared for a tie-up with Congress in Maharashtra ahead of the forthcoming state assembly elections. "If the Congress does not consider our offer, we would contest alone," Paswan said on Sunday while addressing a day-long conclave of active party workers in Aurangabad. On Uttar Pradesh politics, he Paswan described Mayawati as 'Daulat Kanya' instead of a 'Dalit Kanya'. "Her Bahujan Samaj Party has lost ground in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Uttaranchal too as was evident during recent Lok Sabha polls," he said.
