Zaheera challenges Best Bakery verdict

The Supreme Court on Friday admitted a petition filed by Zaheera Sheikh, a key witness in the Best Bakery case, challenging a Gujarat high court order upholding the acquittal of all the accused in the case.

The court also issued a notice to the Gujarat government on a petition filed by social activist Teesta Setalvad challenging the same high court order passing strictures against her for her 'activist' role in the case. Setalvad wants the remarks against her to be expunged.
