Nine ITBP personnel awarded President's Police Medal

Nine officers and personnel of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) have been awarded the President's Police Medal for Distinguished Service and Police Medal for Meritorious Service on the occasion of Republic Day.

DIG V K Upreti, and CMO (SG) D S Agarkar will be honoured with the President's Police Medal for Distinguished Service.

Commandant D R Sharma, Commandant (Engineer) Isshan Pradeep, CMO (SG) B B Dass, Assistant Commandant N D Devrani, Inspector Shakti Prasad, Sub-inspector Brahmanand Nautiyal and Head Constable Jagdish Singh will be honoured with the Police Medal for Meritorious Service.

ITBP, a premier central paramilitary force, is responsible for guarding the 2115km-long stretch of the Indo-China border.
