Presidential award for 32 Customs, Excise officials

The government will honour 32 Customs and Excise officials for showing exceptional commitment and devotion to duty on a sustained basis while achieving goals set for their organisations.

They will be presented the Presidential Award of Appreciation Certificate on Republic Day, an official release said on Friday.

Among the officers slated to receive the honour are Additional Director Generals A Vasudev (Directorate of Revenue Intelligence) and Amitab Hajela (Directorate General of Central Excise Intelligence).

The other senior officials are Rajeev Tandon (CESTAT), Anoop Swarup (International Customs Division), Gautam Bhattacharya (Tax Research Unit), A K Jyotishi (Inland Container Depot).

The Additional Commissioners selected for the award include O P Dadhich, Balesh Kumar and Bodduluri Hare Ram.
