AIADMK may go it alone in LS polls
January 16, 2004 20:14 IST Last Updated: January 16, 2004 20:22 IST
AIADMK on Friday indicated that it may go alone in the coming Lok Sabha elections.
The indication was given by party supremo and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa in a statement in Chennai.
"Only if our voice is raised in unison in the Lok Sabha, our state's rights can be realised. For that our party alone should achieve total victory and our members alone should go to Lok Sabha [from Tamil Nadu]," she said in the statement released on the eve of 87th birth anniversary of AIADMK founder leader M G Ramachandran.
"Our goal in the elections should be a cent per cent victory," she said.
