Defence Minister George Fernandes received minor injuries when his vehicle crashed into a stationary truck near Nagarnausa on the Fatuah-Biharsharief highway in Bihar's Nalanda district late Tuesday night, according to sources.

He was on his way to the Rajgir Circuit House after attending a function at Hilsa when his Toyota Qualis hit the truck due to low visibility, the sources said.

Fernandes, who complained of headache and pain in the legs, proceeded towards the circuit house, where a doctor examined him, they said.
