Vajpayee chairs CCS, discusses security scenario

A day after his return from Pakistan, Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee chaired a meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Security on Wednesday.

He discussed the security scenario in the light of the decision by the two countries to resume a composite dialogue next month to resolve all outstanding issues, including Jammu and Kashmir.

Deputy Prime Minister Lal Kishenchand Advani, External Affairs Minister Yashwant Sinha, Finance Minister Jaswant Singh, Defence Minister George Fernandes, National Security Adviser Brajesh Mishra, Indian Army Chief N C Vij and Indian Navy Chief Madhvendra Singh attended the meeting.
