SIT summons Bhujbal's nephew, secretary

The Special Investigation Team probing the stamp paper scam has summoned former Maharashtra deputy chief minister Chhagan Bhujbal's nephew Sameer and private secretary S K Bankar on Monday.

SIT chief S S Puri will personally question the two, who have been asked to report at SIT's office in Worli, Mumbai, sources said.

Sameer is likely to be questioned about multi-millionaire Antim Totla's proximity to the former DCM while Bankar is likely to be quizzed about the processing of the Jaiswal Committee report on the role of police officials in allegedly shielding prime accused Abdul Karim Telgi; appointments of senior police officials in Maharashtra and other issues, the sources said.
