PM at Sahara scion's marriage

Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee arrived in Lucknow on Tuesday evening to attend the marriage of Sahara group Chairman Subrata Roy's son Sushanto.

A special Indian Air Force plane carrying the PM landed at the Amausi airport at 1850 IST.

Union minister C P Thakur accompanied Vajpayee, who arrived after inaugurating a rail project in Vaishali, Bihar.

He was received at the airport by Uttar Pradesh Governor Vishnukant Shastri, Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav, Union minister Rajnath Singh and other Bharatiya Janata Party leaders.
