Tidal waves: No danger to Kalpakkam atomic power station

There is no danger to the Madras Atomic Power Station at Kalpakkam near Chennai due to the tidal waves caused by tremors in coastal areas on Sunday morning, Nuclear Power Corporation of India Ltd sources said in Mumbai. The sources told PTI that unit two of the plant was hit by the waves, adding it has been safely shut down.
