Foggy conditions continue in Delhi

December 23, 2004 09:46 IST

A day after dense fog led to cancellation of some flights and trains to and from Delhi, the situation improved somewhat on Thursday, though there was a light haze early in the morning.

The visibility in Palam area, where the airport is located, went down to 200 meters early morning, leading to disruption in flight operations.

However, the situation rapidly improved and normal operations resumed, airport sources said.

A large number of trains, mostly the ones coming from the eastern part of the country, continued to run late.

Three trains had to be cancelled on Wednesday and some were likely to be rescheduled even on Thursday, Northern Railway sources said.
