Appu remanded to police custody for 3 days December 20, 2004 17:24 IST A court in Kancheepuram on Monday remanded Appu, alias Krishnasamy, a key accused in the Sankararaman murder case, to police custody for three days. Passing orders on a police petition seeking seven days custody of Appu, who had surrendered in Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh on Sunday, Judicial First Class Magistrate G Uthamaraj, allowed his custody from 1500 IST Monday to 1700 IST December 22. Appu had been brought to Kancheepuram from Chittoor on Sunday night to be produced before a magistrate.
