The Mumbai police on Monday arrested gangster-turned-MLA Arun Gawli's wife.

A case was registered against Asha Gawli on the basis of a complaint lodged by one Lata Mohite alleging that she, along with some other women, had confined and assaulted her, Deputy Commissioner of Police Ashok Dongre said.

Asha will be produced in a local court later in the day.
