Arun Gawli, don-turned-neta, gets police protection

Arun GawliMaharashtra Assembly Speaker Babasaheb Kupekar on Tuesday directed the state government to provide police protection to former underworld don and now Chinchpokli MLA, Arun Gawli.

Gawli, who is attending the assembly session for the first time, had asked the speaker to direct the government to provide him police protection.

Gawli had on Monday accused the police of holding a grudge against him. He had also threatened to move court to seek police protection.
