The husband of a woman who was gang raped and murdered was abducted at gunpoint in front of a judge from the premises of a district court in Uttar Pradesh's Bagpat district, the police said.

Ismail was an eyewitness to the gruesome crime on his wife in Baraut town last year.

He was about to enter the court to record his statement on Friday when he was abducted, the police said. The criminals escaped in a car.

Police have lodged a case, but are clueless about the kidnappers.
