Nagpur lynching: Five women get bail August 18, 2004 16:19 IST Just hours after they were remanded to judicial custody for a day, five women, allegedly involved in the lynching of notorious gangster Akku Yadav in Nagpur on August 13, were released on bail by a district judge.
Earlier in the day, Judicial Magistrate First Class R N Mehre had remanded the women -- Anjane Bai, Leela, Bhagiradi Bai, Savita and Pinki -- to judicial custody.
