Star cricketer Virender Sehwag is among a host of eminent personalities who would be attending the 'At Home' function to be hosted by President A P J Abdul Kalam on Independence Day.

As many as 2,500 people, including eminent bureaucrats (both serving and retired), top police officials, noted journalists, politicians and diplomatic corps, gather on the picturesque lawns of Rashtrapati Bhavan for the 'At Home' function.

Kalam first invited eminent sports personalities for tea during this year's Republic Day function.

Sehwag is India's only tripe centurion. Official sources said the 'Nawab of Najafgarh' would be accompanied by his wife, Aarti, for the function.
