Girl student stabbed to death in college August 05, 2004 16:04 IST In a shocking incident, a girl student of the National Institute of Technology in Tiruchirapalli was allegedly stabbed to death near her classroom by a male student of another college on Thursday morning, police said. The attacker, a third year engineering student of a private college in the city, was overpowered by other students and teachers and handed over to the police. Akhila, a first year student of MSc Operational Research of the institute, formerly the Regional Engineering College, was fatally stabbed following a quarrel near her classroom, the police said.
