Several other trains have been diverted on to the single-line Rohtak-Jakhal-Dhoori track.

There were over 3000 passengers stranded at the Jammu railway station when reports last came in.

Divisional Traffic Manager, Northern Railways, Amarjit Singh said efforts are on to clear the tracks.

He said with only the single-line track on Rohtik-Jakhal-Dhoori stretch open, most of the incoming and outgoing trains would be late from one to six hours.
