Simone Singh's favourite shopping spots

April 30, 2004

Simone SinghActress Simone Singh shot to fame as Heena in the television serial of the same name. She also stars in the serial, 64 Panne: Aandhi, which marked Aamir Khan's younger brother, Faizal's debut on television.

Simone is also making a foray into films and has already played small roles in Suneel Darshan's Ek Rishta: The Bond Of Love, Karan Johar's Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Tanuja Chandra's Sur, Dharmesh Darshan's Haan Maine Bhi Pyaar Kiya and Pawan Kaul's Sssshhh.

Singh attended Rocky S's show at the Lakme India Fashion Week, where Priya Ganapati got her to answer five quick questions.

What are you wearing to the Lakme India Fashion Week?

I am wearing a top from Cue, which is the design label of Rohit Gandhi and Rahul Khanna, and pants from [Kavita Bhartia's] Ogaan. I have chosen to accessorise with long silver and amethyst earnings that I bought from Amrapali in Mumbai.

How much time do you take to dress?

Ten minutes. If I am not ready in 10 minutes, it's not happening. I don't concentrate too much on my clothes.

What kind of clothes do you go for?

I like quirky clothes. I like clothes that are just a little weird. I don't like trendy clothes.

Who are your favourite designers?

I love Cue. I buy a lot of their stuff. I also like Wendell Rodricks and Anshu Arora Sen. I like their clothes because they are a little crazy, just like me.

What are the two places you love to shop in?

I love shopping in New York and Delhi. Delhi has some very good labels. Most of my best buys have been in New York.
