September 25, 2003 02:45 IST

President Pervez Musharraf on Wednesday assured his American counterpart George W Bush of Pakistan's determination to fight terrorism.

During a 35-minute meeting, Musharraf also told the US president that Pakistan was ready to send troops to Iraq only in coordination with the Organisation of Islamic Conference and other Islamic nations.

He also denied the Indian charge that Pakistan was encouraging cross-border terrorism.
