Deposed prime minister Nawaz Sharief's brother plans to return to Pakistan next month despite restrictions by the government on his arrival.

Shahbaz Sharief, the former chief minister of Punjab province and head of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, is currently recuperating from a surgery in New York.

NNI news agency quoted him as saying that he would return to Dubai in a couple of days from where he would go to Pakistan. He is expected to land at Lahore on October 12 on the fourth anniversary of President Pervez Musharraf's coup.

Shahbaz, along with the former PM and their family, is in exile in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

NNI news agency said he might get arrested on his return, as there are corruption cases against him.
