Kuka Parray's close lieutenant shot dead September 15, 2003 19:40 IST Less than a week after gunning down top counter-insurgent Kuka Parray, militants early on Monday morning killed his close lieutenant, Abdul Rashid Khan alias Babar, in Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir. Elsewhere in the state, four people, including a village defence committee member, were killed, a VDC member was abducted and four ultras were apprehended in the past 24 hours. Babar, a top counter-insurgent activist of Kuka Parray's ikhwan outfit, was gunned down in Janglat Mandi. The militants took away Babar's automatic rifle.
