Khetwadicha Samrat, Girgaum, Mumbai
The Khetwadi 8th Galli Ganeshotsav Mandal began celebrating the Ganpati festival 39 years ago. It attracts about 40,000 people every day.
One volunteer said the Mandal hired a private security agency after the August 25 blasts in Mumbai. Besides, about 15 volunteers take turns keeping the Lord company.
