The Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam on Friday submitted its first plan for sharing power with Colombo to the Norwegian peace brokers.

An LTTE spokesman said the proposals were handed over to the Norwegian Ambassador Hans Brattskar.

Brattskar received the rebel peace plan at the rebel-held town of Kilinochchi, 330 km north of Colombo.

"Political wing leader S P. Thamilselvan handed over the proposals to Ambassador Brattskar and they went in for discussions thereafter," LTTE spokesman Daya Master said.

Brattskar is due to travel back from Kilinochchi to the capital later Friday to convey the proposals to the government.
