Tributes paid to Indira Gandhi

Indira GandhiThe nation on Friday remembered former prime minister Indira Gandhi on her 19th death anniversary with Vice-President Bhairon Singh Shekhawat and Congress president Sonia Gandhi paying tributes at her samadhi in Delhi.

Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit, her cabinet colleagues, late Sanjay Gandhi's son Varun and senior Congress leaders also visited the memorial to pay tributes.

An all-religion prayer was held on the occasion.
