Over 4000 bars of chocolates of a reputed multinational brand have been seized from a stockist in Ranchi and samples from another six stockists have been sent for tests.

Three packets -- together containing 4300 chocolate bars -- were seized from a single stockist in Thursday night's raid, Deputy Commissioner, Ranchi, Pradeep Kumar told reporters.

He displayed before the reporters some bars with fungus on them.

Worms were in found in chocolate bars manufactured by the same company in Mumbai and Kolkata earlier this month.
