Close to a dozen premises were searched in the raids that began at 0830 IST.

Mayawati demanded that the assets of the prime minister's foster daughter and her husband be scrutinised.

She said the CBI seized Rs 5.5 lakh collected by party workers for the treatment of the ailing party leader, Kanshi Ram.
