Four armymen, posted in the President's cavalry, have been arrested on charges of raping a student in Delhi, police said on Wednesday.

Manish, Satinder, Kuldeep and Harpreet, posted as Presidential sawaar (horsemen), have been arrested after a Delhi University student complained that they had gang-raped her at the Buddha Jyanti Park near Daula Kuan on October 6, police said.

The girl had gone to the park along with her friend when the four accused teased her. As the victim and her friend were about to leave the park, the accused pushed her into a car and sexually assaulted her.

A medical examination confirmed her charge of sexual assault, police said.

The army has ordered a Court of Inquiry into the matter.
