ULFA militants kill three Biharis; toll 56

Anti-Bihari violence continued unabated in Assam with three more persons killed and five others, including women and children, injured at Khanglabari in Darrang district of the state, taking the toll in bloodletting to 56.

The suspected ULFA assailants, who struck at a Bihari settlement around 2130 hours last night, also set on fire nine houses and managed to escape, Assam Home Commissioner K D Tripathy told PTI.

Tripathy said this is the first incident of violence in the lower Assam district.
